Classification of Cold Hot Stamping Technology in Printing Plants [Buke Printing]
The cold stamping process can be divided into two types: dry cold stamping and wet cold stamping.
(1) Dry cold hot stamping process. The dry cold stamping process involves curing the applied Uv adhesive before hot stamping. When cold stamping technology first emerged, the dry cold stamping process was used, which mainly consists of the following steps
① Print UV pressure-sensitive adhesive on printing materials.
② Curing the adhesive
③ By using pressure rollers, the cold pressed printing foil is combined with the printing material.
④ Peel off the excess hot stamping foil from the substrate and leave only the required hot stamping on the areas coated with adhesive. It should be noted that when using the dry cold stamping process, the curing of the UV adhesive should be carried out quickly, but it cannot be completely cured. It is necessary to ensure that it still has a certain degree of bacterial properties after curing, so as to bond well with the hot stamping aluminum foil,
(2) Wet cold hot stamping process, which involves applying UV adhesive, first hot stamping and then masking the flipping agent. The main process includes the following steps
① Printing free radical UV number agents on printing materials
② Composite cold hot stamping lead foil on printing materials
③ To cure the free radical type UV flipping agent, as the agent is sandwiched between the cold hot stamping aluminum foil and the printing material, UV light must pass through the hot stamping aluminum foil to reach the adhesive layer
④ It should be noted that the wet cold hot stamping process uses free radical UV adhesives instead of traditional UV binders to separate the hot stamping aluminum structure from the substrate and form hot stamping graphics on the substrate; The initial adhesion of Uv adhesive is strong, and after curing, there should be no more adhesion to ensure adhesion strength. The aluminum plating layer of hot stamping aluminum foil should have a certain degree of transparency to ensure that UV light can pass through and trigger the curing reaction of UV adhesive.
