What precautions should be taken during the trial run? [China Step Shell Printing Factory]
After completing the hardware connection of the digital printer, the machine needs to be tested. During the testing process, follow the steps below to adjust and calibrate the digital printer.
(1) Adjustment of the toner hopper. For digital printers of different speeds and models, the clearance of the toner hopper varies. Therefore, the first step typically involves adjusting this clearance to ensure uniform toner application. The specific clearance size depends on the machine's configuration.
Next, the left and right positions of the toner hopper need to be adjusted to ensure the correct relative alignment between the toner hopper and the imaging drum.
(2) Tilt adjustment of the black channel exposure head. As a fundamental registration channel, the black channel is crucial for all subsequent printing colors, so adjustments to this channel must be made with caution.
(3) Adjustment of the printed file width in the horizontal direction. Measure the actual width of the printed file and adjust it based on the measurement data if there is any deviation from the set value.
(4) Adjustment of the horizontal image length in the paper path. Measure and adjust the left and right positions of the paper, input the data into the device, and the device will detect whether the data falls within the normal range and provide adjustment prompts
(5) Vertical alignment adjustment of the image to the printing substrate. If the paper is cut neatly but the image appears tilted during printing, this step can be used for adjustment
(6) Image skew adjustment on the substrate. Adjust the distance from the paper edge to the image printing starting position. For Kodak Nexpress digital printers, this distance should be set to 7.4mm
(7) Horizontal alignment adjustment of the paper path from the image to the printing substrate. Adjust the inclination of the four-color exposure heads, then fine-tune the exposure head positions based on the obtained data.
(8) Vertical adjustment of the paper path from one color to another. For the vertical adjustment of colors other than black, offset data must be input into the equipment, which will automatically calculate the consistency between the left and right exposure start positions of the exposure head and the black exposure head, and perform automatic adjustments.
(9) Paper path horizontal registration calibration. This calibration is automatically performed by the equipment, and the user only needs to execute the corresponding program.
The above adjustment and calibration steps will significantly impact the print quality, so it is essential to follow them carefully and methodically.
