Design of Preface, Preface, Postscript, and References in Book Design [Buke Printing]
Preface and preface should be placed before the main text or table of contents, and the font size can be the same as the main text. Words such as "Preface" and "Preface" should be treated according to the first level title of the book. Preface, preface, etc. placed before the table of contents can be arranged from a single page number, and the code order can be calculated separately. Preface, preface, etc. placed before the main text and after the table of contents should be arranged continuously with the page number and the main text. Postscript is a short essay that is often placed at the end or after the book, and belongs to the category of evaluative essays. When typesetting, it can be arranged after the book (article) or on another side. The afterword also belongs to this type of property, with the same arrangement.
There are two ways to arrange references, one is to place them at the end of the edition, and the other is to place them at the back of the book or at the end of the article, using characters one to two sizes smaller than the main text. References generally include the author, literature name, publisher, publication date, publication location, and other relevant information. If citing foreign reference materials, use that foreign language for citation. If there is a Chinese translation of the foreign language, it should be arranged in both the foreign language and Chinese characters, or only in Chinese characters. When typesetting, each document should be arranged in a separate top grid, with a sequence code added in front. When reversing, it should be aligned with the text after the sequence code, or it can be arranged in two lower grids with a top grid.
The spacing between reference lines should be smaller than the main text. The national standard GBT7714-2005 "Rules for Bibliography of Postscript References" specifies the formatting of post script references, with three formats available for publishers to choose from.
