However, the printing process of cigarette packaging is not only the reproduction of product tone, but also involves a large amount of spot color reproduction, such as large areas of red solid, gold silver, pearl effect, etc. Due to the high requirements for saturation and brightness of spot colors (especially solid spot colors), offset printing often fails to achieve the desired effect when printing solid colors due to the limitation of ink layer thickness. To achieve the goal, the method of "deep first and then light" two printing is usually used, which requires the design of cigarette labels to avoid empty text on the actual version as much as possible to avoid increasing the difficulty of overprinting. In addition, cigarette pack printing requires high color stability (consistency), while offset printing has ink emulsification and a relatively long ink path, which have many factors affecting color stability.
