在膠印中,橡皮布的作用是把印版上的圖文完整而清晰地轉移到紙張上。為了力求圖文轉移盡量理想,就必須要求橡皮布應具備有下列特點


①薄厚度要均勻。均勻的薄厚度,會使壓印力均勻分佈,墨色濃淡也比較勻稱,且在圖文轉移過程中,圖文尺寸不易改變。


②具有良好的彈性。普通實心橡皮布的彈性越好,圖文轉移的效果及吸墨性能也就有可能越好


③具有較小的伸長率。橡皮布結構緻密,機械強度好,有利於抗張強度的增加,並以此減小圖文轉移的變形量


④吸墨性能及傳遞性能好。可確保在印刷過程中,墨色勻稱、字跡清楚。


⑤耐油、耐磨、耐熱以及防老化性能好。具有多種優良性能,可以延長使用壽命。


⑥具有耐酸、耐鹼和防止腐蝕的性能。
