How to achieve good printing quality: 1. Substrate

The substrate is the basis for whether the color of printed materials is bright or not. According to the principle of color presentation of printed materials, in addition to the spatial mixing of various color dots through additive color method to form the visual color of people, the color on the surface of the substrate without printed dots actually participates in this spatial mixing. Therefore, if the whiteness and glossiness of the substrate are high, the brightness of the color can be improved. On the contrary, a gray substrate is like adding a small amount of black to various colors of ink, thus displaying a dull color. In addition, the absorbency of the substrate can affect the saturation of the color. A substrate with high absorbency may not form a sufficiently full ink layer on its surface, and excessive infiltration of connecting materials into the substrate can cause the imprint to dry up. Paper with large capillary pores may allow some pigments to infiltrate into the paper along with the connecting materials, thereby reducing color saturation and affecting the brightness of the color.
