色彩因純度差別而形成的對比稱為純度對比。純度差大的對比,屬於強對比給人以興奮、鮮明、艷麗、生動、活潑、刺激的感覺;純度差小的對比,屬於弱對比,給人以柔和、含蓄的感覺,純度差愈小,柔和感愈強,但清晰度也愈低,因而形象比較模糊。此外,純度對比不足時,往往會出現配色的臟、悶、火、單調、軟弱、含混等毛病。
