Stencil printing, also known as screen printing. Screen printing machine is a representative printing equipment among orifice printing machines. It uses silk cloth, metal, and synthetic materials to make printing plates such as screen and wax paper.
The principle of stencil printing used in screen printing machines originated from ancient template printing. The parts that need to be printed are reflected in the production of the printing plate, which is usually made according to the different ink colors used. The graphic and textual parts on the printing plate have extremely small holes, and the areas without graphic and textual parts are protected by printing materials to avoid exposing the fine holes.
When printing, fix the printing plate on the workbench and press it tightly against the substrate. Use a scraper or ink roller to allow the ink to penetrate through the fine pores on the plate and onto the substrate.
The manual operation of screen printing is to use a plate holder, a screen plate, and a template to complete the printing together. It was not until the 1950s that screen printing achieved mechanization and automation, and screen printing was no longer a single flat type, but also introduced drum type printing.
Screen printing can be printed not only on flat substrates but also on curved substrates, with bright colors and long-lasting durability. It can also be printed on various types of paper, glass, wood, metal, ceramics, plastics, or fabrics, using a variety of inks, including conductive metallic inks. Suitable for printing irregular objects such as labels, bags, T-shirts, plastic products, glass, metal vessels, etc.
