印務公司印刷機高速印刷時套印不準發生在側規拉紙一邊,其原因是:因為側規抬起時間過晚,當遞紙牙叼紙上擺時,側規的壓紙滾輪還未完全抬起,遞紙牙將紙張從壓紙滾輪下拉出,因而叼紙拉出時的叼紙力需要加大,但遞紙牙叼紙力是不變的,因此使紙張因壓紙滾輪的阻力,在叼牙中發生位置變化,造成套印不準。有時紙張較薄時,紙邊也會被拉長,這樣印出的印品也會出現套印不準。

排除的方法:調整側規抬起時間。首先要順車點動機器,觀察當遞紙牙叼住紙後還未擺動時,側規壓紙輪上抬讓紙。此時調節機器傳動面軸端帶動側規傳動軸轉動的齒輪,其上面有長孔,並用三個螺釘固定,松開螺釘,改變齒輪圓周位置,使側規傳動軸上的凸輪驅動滾子使拉紙滾輪上抬,調好後擰緊緊固螺釘。如果還有微量需要調節時,還可以轉動偏心銷軸,直至滿足要求為止。但是在點動機器時,不能正點和反點機器交換進行。點一圈若未調好,可再點一圈,直到調好為止。否則由於機器傳動系統間隙的關系是調不準的。
