Classification of Printing - Shenzhen Printing Factory- [Buke Printing]
As a professional printing and packaging factory, we not only excel in brochure printing and customized packaging boxes, but more importantly, let more printers understand printing. Today, we will introduce the general classification of printing:
1: Letterpress printing
The printing method of letterpress printing refers to the printing of images and text that are higher than the blank space, and ink is applied around the image and text to replicate the imprint on the surface of the printed material through pressure.
2: Lithography (offset printing)
Nowadays, it is customary to refer to offset printing as flat printing. The graphic and blank parts of the printing plate are on the same plane, and through the principle of oil-water separation, the graphic and text are ultimately transferred to the surface of the printed material.
3: Gravure printing
Gravure printing and relief printing are exactly the opposite, with the graphic and textual parts concave while the blank parts remain flat. The graphic and textual parts accept the ink layer, which is transferred to the surface of the printed material by the pressure of the printing cylinder, replicating the printed product.
4: Filter printing
Screen printing is a typical example of filter printing. Ink seeps through the mesh holes (graphic and text) of the fabric and replicates into graphic and text on the surface of the substrate.

5: Flexographic printing (belonging to relief printing)
In the beginning, flexographic printing was named after the use of volatile liquid ink made from aniline dye, and the plate material used was a rubber plate. But with the development of technology, both printing materials and inks have undergone significant changes, and aniline printing has become today's flexographic printing.
6: Special Printing
According to different printing materials and processes, special printing can be divided into gold and silver printing; Electroplated aluminum hot stamping; Concave convex embossing; Die cutting indentation; Metal printing; Adhesive printing; Polish and paste plastic; 3D printing; Foam printing; Inkjet printing; Holographic printing, etc.
