The cover of a hardcover book, whether fully wrapped (plastic book case) or half wrapped (laminated book case), must be made of high-strength fabric for the spine material. The all inclusive cover, spine section, and other parts of the cover are made of the same fabric. For semi packaged covers, regardless of the fabric used for the cover and back cover, the spine of the book should be made of materials with good strength and toughness. The most commonly used materials include lacquered fabric, coated fabric, synthetic leather, leather, and other synthetic materials. When selecting, the grade and cost of the book should be considered. Flat spine hardcover, with cardboard padding on the inner layer of the spine, usually using the same cardboard as the cover.
