What should be paid attention to before printing wireless adhesive bound books and periodicals
① Due to the need for back milling in wireless adhesive binding printing, when designing the layout of books, it is necessary to add a back milling amount (usually 2mm) to the finished size at the inner text and insert binding (ring lining can be left without back milling), and to indent the finished size by 2mm at the binding. At this time, the outer cutting size should be: wireless adhesive binding outer cutting size=(finished size width one book core size width -2mm) 2.
② Due to the width of the cover opening line being generally 7mm, the center of the front page and insert should be reduced by 7mm at the opening before being centered on the left and right.
③ For adhesive bound books with text splicing, the splicing text and images should overlap by 2mm within the finished size, plus 2mm milling back, for a total of 4mm. The splicing text and images on the second or third cover should overlap by 5mm within the finished size to ensure complete and accurate splicing when the bound book is opened.
④ According to the requirements of product binding sequence, binding method, and binding machinery, the layout should be designed reasonably. If the same book needs to be printed in both large and small patches, small patches should be arranged at the third to last and fourth patches of the thick book, large patches should be arranged at both ends, and small patches should be arranged for patches with sticky pages. This is beneficial for mechanical waste disposal and facilitates timely detection of excess or insufficient patches.
⑤ The cover should be at least 5m longer than the book block to prevent the cover from being too short and the book block from being too long, which could cause dragging and sticking of the cover, resulting in a large number of downtime problems.
⑥ A 3mm cutting amount should be applied to the bleeding image to avoid skewed cutting and white edge exposure.
⑦ For dual products, the cutting amount of the regular head should be set to 4mm, the cutting amount of the upper and lower connection should be set to 10mm, the cutting amount of the non regular head should be set to 3mm, and an additional 2mm milling back amount should be added at the binding.
⑧ If a set of posts is required, it should be designed as a small post nested within a large post.
⑨ During typesetting or production, folding marks should be set on the outer folds of the top and back of the book to facilitate checking for excessive, insufficient, and incorrect pasting.
