Colors such as red, orange, and yellow bring people a fiery and passionate feeling. Cold colors such as blue, green, and purple give people the impression of being calm like water.
(2) Awakening and Tranquility
Generally speaking, warm colors, high brightness colors, and high solid colors have strong visual nerve stimulation and can cause excitement in viewers. Colors such as red, red orange, orange, yellow orange, and yellow are called "excitation colors"; Cold colors, low brightness colors, and low purity colors give people a sense of calmness, known as "calm colors", such as blue, blue purple, blue-green, and so on. To express excitement in design, "warm colors" can be used, while to express quietness, stability, and rationality, "cool colors" can be used.
(3) Light and heavy feeling
The lightness of colors is mainly due to the relationship between color brightness.
Generally speaking, high brightness colors such as white and yellow give people a feeling of lightness;
Black or low brightness colors appear heavier.
Colors with the same brightness depend on their purity, with higher purity appearing lighter and lower purity appearing heavier.
Although light colors may give people a sense of lightness, they can also make people feel unstable; On the contrary, low brightness colors have a heavy feeling.
When designing to match light and heavy colors, it is necessary to consider the balance between them.

In design, if forward and backward colors can be used appropriately, effective layering and spatial sense can be achieved.
