用於印刷的紙張,應具有良好的形穩性,這樣才能確保印刷套印效果。紙張的形穩性是指紙張尺寸的穩定性。由於構成紙張的纖維在吸濕後會產生一定程度的潤脹,且纖維直徑方向(即橫向)的膨潤的幅度比縱向大得多,故紙張的伸縮情況對其形穩性會產生極大影響。

印刷用紙的形穩性

用於印刷的紙張,應具有良好的形穩性,這樣才能確保印刷套印效果。紙張的形穩性是指紙張尺寸的穩定性。由於構成紙張的纖維在吸濕後會產生一定程度的潤脹,且纖維直徑方向(即橫向)的膨潤的幅度比縱向大得多,故紙張的伸縮情況對其形穩性會產生極大影響。


紙張伸縮既有多少的度量即伸縮率,也有快慢的度量即伸縮速度。有的紙張伸縮率雖然大一些,但其伸縮速度卻較慢,在連續的四色印刷中,套印效果就要好一些。而有的紙張,疏鬆多空隙,吸濕後會迅速伸長,雖然伸縮率並不是很大,但仍十分影響套印效果。

通常認為,橫向伸縮率在3%以上的,為形穩性極差;橫向伸縮率在2.6%~3.0%的,為形穩性差;橫向伸縮率在2.0%~2.5%的,為形穩性一般;橫向伸縮率在2.0%以下的,為形穩性相對較好。
